Disneyland® Autographs

By October 25, 2018Blog

Character meet and greets are always a magical experience when visiting Disneyland® Resort. You can often enjoy coveted one-on-one time with your favorites, along with a picture and autograph.

Autograph Must-Haves

Disney® characters don’t carry around pens, so be prepared to provide your own pens. We like clickable pens or markers in a various of colors. No lost caps and quick access to an assortment of pens add variety to your autograph keepsake.

Sketch books and other Disney® themed autograph books make great momentos to take home. We also like this Sleeping Beauty inspired castle from Enchanted Type to have characters sign at the parks and frame it later at home.

Who Can You Meet?

There’s so many characters to meet at Disneyland® Resort, it’s tough to do it all! Our best tip is to check out the official Disneyland® app where you can find every available character and their current location.

Most commonly seen characters include:

  • Alice & The Mad Hatter are often roaming Fantasyland

  • Anna & Elsa in the Disney® Animation Building at California Adventure Park

  • Bert & Mary Poppins strolling through Fantasyland or Main Street, U.S.A.

  • Captain America in California Adventure Park Hollywood Land.

  • Captain Jack Sparrow wandering New Orleans Square

  • Chewbacca at Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland

  • Cinderella at the Royal Hall in Fantasyland

There’s many, many more characters to meet! Some will quickly walk by like The Evil Queen, Belle & Beast and Queen of Hearts, but others will linger for photos and chit-chat.

Who Doesn’t Sign?

While meeting characters at Disneyland® is a highlight for many guests, sometimes little ones can get disappointed if they don’t get an autograph. A few characters don’t sign due to their limited schedule or because their hands weren’t really made for signing.

It helps to be aware that these characters typically don’t sign autographs (please check with the accompanying Cast Member):

  • Chewbacca at Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland

  • Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland

  • Darth Vader at Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland
