– we love giving back –
Orange County Family Justice Center
Grand Legacy At The Park is proud to support the Orange County Family Justice Center. The center’s mission is to provide long-term positive impact on the Anaheim community by compassionately providing effective, coordinated services and support to people whose lives have been touched by child abuse, domestic violence, elder/dependent adult abuse, or sexual assault.
This year we have made a monetary donation to the center as well as donated a two night stay and gift card to The FIFTH for their 10th anniversary gala.
Dream Foundation, the only national dream-granting organization for terminally-ill adults, fulfills final Dreams that provide inspiration, comfort, and closure at the end of life. With the support of a nation wide network of volunteers, hospices, healthcare organizations, and committed donors, the Dream Foundation has given life to nearly 25,000 final dreams over the past two decades and has never turned down a qualifying request.
This is our most recent Dreamer Karen, who stayed at Grand Legacy At The Park with her family while they visited the Disneyland® Resort. Karen and her family also enjoyed a private meal at The FIFTH, including Lite Bites, drinks, and dessert.
Grand Legacy At The Park currently sponsors ten children across the world through World Vision. It’s our goal to make a positive impact on the lives of others not only in Anaheim but in other places of need. Here are some of the Annual Progress Reports we have received. We love getting mail like this and knowing how our children are doing!
Grand Legacy At The Park currently sponsors five children across the world through Plan USA. Plan USA works side by side with communities to improve the lives of children in need. They practice areas includind water, sanitation and hygiene; health; protection; education; disaster and conflict; and youth and economic empowerment. My Day Counts
We are now partnering with a local non-profit, My Day Counts, which services adults with disabilities. My Day Counts mission is to ‘Make Life Better For People With Disabilities’. Since February 2, 2016, we have been accepting daily donations of $1 from guests at check in, and each quarter we will match the donations from our guests to go to the needs of My Day Counts. In partnership with My Day Counts, we are supplying our very own Legacy Blend coffee from My Cup Counts. Drinking our Legacy Blend coffee during your stay with us will help employ the adults at My Day Counts.
In 2016, the funds of My Day Counts were dedicated to enhancing the lives of their clients and not towards operational expenses. With the donations, the organization was able to expand their annual banquet, provide pizza Fridays to all clients throughout the year, purchase a new projection and sound system for movies and exercise classes, and host a Thanksgiving meal. Most impressive, as of January 3, 2017, My Day Counts is now able to offer above minimum wage job growth opportunities to their clients, which the organization considers is the most significant transformation in its 60 year history.
We had a really special time at the Illumination Foundation’s OC Chefs Table on March 13, 2016. Grand Legacy At The Park not only donated money to this cause, to help bring an end to homelessness, but also donated the Grand Prize at the event, which was auctioned off. Included in the Grand Prize was:
- – A one night accommodation for two in a brand new luxury suite at Grand Legacy At The Park
- – Six (6) tickets to a live performance at The FIFTH, our open-air rooftop bar & lounge, plus a one of a kind view of the spectacular Disneyland® Fireworks.
- – A private tasting with some of The FIFTH’s mouth watering dishes and desserts expertly paired with delectable wines from Rabble Vineyards for you and four friends (6 people total)
We feel strongly about helping those in need of a home in our local community and we are honored to have been a part of such a special event!
Key Incentive Donation
When guests do not return their key, we charge $1. During the month, employees anonymously nominate someone for outstanding achievement in specific areas. Out of that pool of employees, a name is drawn, and the winner chooses a charity or organization that they would like the money to be donated to.
For the month of December our amazing employee, Daisy Nunez, won and chose to donate the money to the Orangewood Foundation. The Orangewood Foundation is to prepare foster and community youth to reach their greatest potential. They help almost 2,000 foster and community youth annually prepare for independent adulthood.
Daisy is one of our Front Desk Agents at Grand Legacy At The Park. She is very friendly and patient in the midst of adversity. She is such a quick learner and has a great amount of potential to go far in life. Daisy takes pride in serving our guests to ensure the true Grand Legacy experience. We are thankful to have humble and kind employees, like Daisy, working with us.
